Affiliate Disclaimer

How this site makes money, which platform pays us, and what that does and doesn’t change about what gets published here.

THE SHORT VERSION
  • CooMeet is our affiliate partner. It is the only platform we earn from.
  • Every other platform on this site pays us nothing.
  • We say so on every page where CooMeet appears.
  • We don’t accept payment for reviews or rankings.

Who Pays Us

One platform: CooMeet. If you sign up to CooMeet through a link or the chat widget on this site, we receive a commission. That is our entire revenue model.

Camsurf, Chatroulette, Shagle, Emerald Chat, ChatHub, OmeTV, Bazoocam, Chatrandom, Flingster, LuckyCrush, Tinychat and every other service reviewed here pay us nothing. We have no relationship with any of them, commercial or otherwise. When we recommend one of them over CooMeet, which happens regularly, we are recommending against our own financial interest.

We don’t run display advertising, we don’t sell sponsored posts, and we don’t accept payment in exchange for a review, a ranking, or a mention.

How We Label It

The chat widget carries a “sponsored” label wherever it appears. Any section discussing CooMeet is headed with a note identifying it as our affiliate partner. Every page that mentions CooMeet ends with a line naming it as the only platform we earn from.

This is deliberate repetition. You should not have to hunt for the disclosure or find it only on this page.

What the Money Doesn’t Change

The obvious question about any affiliate site is whether the recommendations are bought. Here’s how to check ours rather than take our word for it.

Look at whether CooMeet ever loses. On our free platforms comparison, Camsurf is ranked first and CooMeet isn’t recommended to anyone who wants free chat. On our filters comparison, we note that CooMeet has no country filter and Shagle’s is free. On our gay chat guide and anonymous chat guide, we don’t recommend it at all, because it doesn’t fit those use cases.

We also state CooMeet’s pricing structure plainly, including the part that isn’t flattering: the subscription includes a minute allowance rather than unlimited chat, which works out around fifty cents a minute.

A review nobody trusts isn’t worth publishing, and the commission on a reader who feels misled is worth less than the reader.

Accuracy and Its Limits

Platforms change pricing, features and policies without notice, and often without announcing it. Everything here reflects what we found on the date shown at the top of each page. Some of it will be out of date by the time you read it.

Our methodology page sets out how each review is produced, including whether it’s based on hands-on testing, free-tier testing, or public sources. We label which, rather than implying we’ve tested everything.

Where sources conflict and we can’t resolve it, we say so on the page instead of picking whichever number sounds best. If you find something wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it.

This Isn’t Professional Advice

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, or technical advice. It’s a review site. Decisions you make based on what you read here are your own, and we can’t be responsible for outcomes on platforms we don’t operate.

We don’t own or control any service reviewed here. Your use of any of them is governed by that platform’s own terms and privacy policy, not ours.
